   Kevin is a stand up comedian from Minneapolis, Minnesota. He holds the dubious honor of being the first married tool enrolled at the Tool Academy. Kevin has a hard time remembering to wear his wedding ring and it drives his wife Jermika crazy. Kevin’s jokes will only get him so far at the Academy, as he’ll be facing the harsh truths of his failing marriage. Kevin and Jermika have a little girl but that’s not stopping Kevin’s flirting when he’s away from home. Kevin wondering eye, flirting, and behavior when he’s on the road are all causing his wife to wonder if it’s even worth it anymore.

   Jermika’s marriage to Kevin is on the rocks. Her heart is breaking as funny man Kevin pays less and less attention to her. She’s beginning to wonder if her marriage is even worth it anymore. Kevin is the only man Jermika’s ever been with and she wants to see their marriage improve. As the Tool Academy enrolls its first married couple, Jermika wonders if it’s too little to late for her and Kevin.

The new season of the bad-boyfriend reform show Tool Academy is set premiere on VH1 on Sunday, Feb. 14 at 9/8c. (Hard to imagine a premiere date more appropriate than Valentine’s Day given the romance Tool Academy is oozing with.) Anyway, this time, there’s a twist: it’s not just for bad boyfriends anymore. That’s right, joining the cast (which we’ll reveal shortly) are two female tools (one of them is part of a same-sex couple). Details in the press release below…

Tool Academy is back for a third season with bigger egos, even bigger secrets and a shocking twist…Tool Academy is going co-ed! That’s right, 2 outrageous “toolettes” along with eight other hopeless “tools” have been secretly enrolled by their better halves into the Tool Academy, a relationship boot camp designed to shape up their relationship skills and change their selfish ways. The new season premieres Sunday, February 14 at 9PM.

The first two seasons of Tool Academy documented the journeys of dishonest boyfriends as they participated in weekly therapy sessions and relationship schooling on topics such as honesty, fidelity and communication. Viewers witnessed the shocking arrival of secret extra girlfriends, a surprise wedding and the phenomenon known simply as “Matsuflex.” Each week, the tool that showed the least progress was dismissed, leaving him to plead his case before his girlfriend who chose to keep him or kick him to the curb.

This season welcomes the Academy’s first female tools, or “toolettes,” including the first same-sex couple. But make no mistake: these ladies lie, cheat and strut just as much as their male counterparts. After the most elaborate reveal yet, the new class will undergo lie detector tests, hidden cameras, focus groups and all new physical challenges until just 1 tool remains to collect the $100,000 grand prize.

Jordan Murphy will return to hosting duties and attempt to help these two-timing tools become reformed partners. Also helping to rebuild these broken relationships is couples counselor Trina Dolenz. Ultimately, Trina has the last say in which tools stay and which are expelled from the academy each week.

Jordan Murphy’s previous hosting duties include all four seasons of NBC’s For Love or Money, USA’s Before & After’noon Movies, Reality Remix, and seasons 1 and 2 of Tool Academy. Murphy is represented by IMG Broadcasting’s Babette Perry and continues to be managed by Kathy Carter.

Trina Dolenz trained as a couple’s counselor in Cambridge, England, obtaining a Graduate Certificate in Marital and Couples Counseling, as well as a Post Graduate Diploma in Couples Therapy from the University of East London. She has run private practices in couples therapy in London as well as her adopted home of Los Angeles.

Viewers can catch a sneak peek of the season’s first episode on VH1.com on Monday, February 8 – one week before the on-air premiere. Subsequent episodes will be available on VH1.com the morning after they air. Additional video content from Tool Academy 3 including extras and bonus footage from each episode will be available on VH1.com and on VH1 Mobile throughout the season.

A 9-year-old boy was found hanged in the bathroom of a Dallas-area elementary school in an apparent suicide, police said. Counselors were on hand Friday for students and parents.

Authorities in The Colony say the fourth-grader was found by staff at Stewart’s Creek Elementary School on Thursday afternoon. Lt. Darren Brockway said that the boy “had reportedly hung himself in a bathroom” and was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.  Autopsy results are pending.

Police in The Colony, about 20 miles north of Dallas, are investigating the circumstances of Montana Lance’s death but don’t expect any criminal charges. The school district confirmed the basics of the incident but declined to comment further because of privacy concerns.

A team of grief counselors met people at the school Friday. They will be available to students, parents, teachers and staff through next week, said Lewisville Independent School District spokeswoman Karen Permetti.

Some parents were concerned that they did not learn about the incident from the school, but Permetti said the facts were sketchy until about the time school let out Thursday. The school is sending a letter about the incident home with students Friday, Permetti said.

“We do want to stress to our parents to encourage their children to discuss their feelings because children all process their grief differently,” Permetti said.

Suicides among young children are extremely rare. There were on average just 10 suicides a year among 10-year-olds between 1999 and 2005, according to statistics from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Early last year in suburban Chicago, a 10-year-old boy hanged himself on a restroom coat hook. In 2008, a 7-year-old boy in Austin died after being hanged by his shirt from a coat hook in a dressing room, though authorities said he might have been playing a game in which students jumped from bench to bench while trying to touch the room’s ceiling.

An obese woman who killed her boyfriend by sitting on him will not serve any time behind bars.Mia Landingham pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter on Wednesday and was sentenced to three years probation and 100 hours of community service, according to CBS affiliate WOIO.

Landingham, who was believed to weigh over 300 pounds at the time of the Aug. 2009 incident, sat on Mikal Middleton-Bey as he was face first on the couch.

According to her lawyer, there was a history of domestic abuse between Landingham and her boyfriend, FOX News reports.

Investigators say the victim was 5′10″ tall and weighed 126 pounds. Landingham is 5′9″ tall.

A police scale that went up to 350 pounds wasn’t enough to accurately weigh the Cleveland woman, according to the affiliate.

The stars of “Jersey Shore” have been negotiating with MTV like “Friends“… but the network could be turning them into enemies with some serious brinkmanship.

Sources tell TMZ the network has told the cast if they don’t accept MTV’s deal by the end of business Monday, they will be replaced. And, MTV has told them it does not have to be a package deal — the cast members who accept the offer will stay … those who do not can have a nice life.

As we first reported, MTV offered each cast member a $10,000 signing bonus and $5,000 per episode. We’re told the cast rejected the offer and made it clear they would all stand together and hold out for their price, though they didn’t say what it was.

MTV made a new offer of $10,000 an episode — there are 12 episodes in the new season — but so far the cast hasn’t responded.

We’re told MTV already has replacements if Snooki, Pauly D, The Situation and the others don’t accept the offer on Monday. But, we’re told, MTV is happy to mix and match if some of the cast accepts the offer and others don’t.

As for who’s being the most hard-headed in the negotiations — The Situation and Pauly D.

Oakland Park, Florida — Deputies say a man killed a friend’s dog in a coffee-table operation that used a needle, dental floss and Chloroform to keep the flinching pet still.

Sheriff’s deputies said the dog, a hound/retriever mix named Zoe, was staying with William Ralph Jones, 55, because the owner could not keep the dog at her home. Last week, Jones dropped the dead dog off at her home, wrapped in a white sheet with a wound sewn together.

Investigators learned Zoe had escaped from Jones’ yard through a hole in a fence and suffered a 3-4 inch cut on her chest.

Jones allegedly put glue on the wound.  Two days later, Zoe got loose again and the wound re-opened.

Deputies said Jones placed Zoe on a coffee table, asked his roommate for a muscle relaxant, and began to sew the wound with a needle and dental floss.

“Zoe yelped and kicked to try to free herself,” the sheriff’s office said. “To stop Zoe from moving, he soaked a cloth with Chloroform, a liquid formerly used as an anesthetic, and put it on her muzzle. A short time later, Zoe became still and stopped breathing.”

Detectives charged Jones with two counts of felony animal abuse. They said if convicted, Jones could get 20 years in prison.

Police in Ohio are looking for two young female bank robbers and they believe one of them may be 12-years-old.

The pair held up the 1st National Bank in Symmes Township Tuesday afternoon, the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office said in a media release.

“Two unknown suspects entered the bank, walked up to the bank teller, and gave the teller a note demanding money,” the release said. “The teller gave the suspects an undetermined amount of U.S. currency.”

Grainy black-and-white photographs from the bank’s surveillance system show the robbers wearing blue hoodies.

According to officials, the suspects are both African-American. One is approximately 5’4″ – 5’5″ and of heavy build. The other suspect is thin, 5’ to 5’2″ tall, and appears to be approximately 12 years of age.

The All-American Basketball League announced in a news release it hopes to kick off its inaugural season this summer, according to a report in the Augusta Chronicle, with a 12-team lineup composed of all-white, American-born men.

“Only players that are natural-born United States citizens with both parents of Caucasian race are eligible to play in the league,” the statement, issued on Martin Luther King weekend, reportedly read.

Don “Moose” Lewis, described as a Georgia-based boxing and wrestling promoter in a report on BET.com, denied racism was behind his move to create the segregated hoops league.

“There’s nothing hatred about what we’re doing,” he told the Augusta Chronicle. “I don’t hate anyone of color. But people of white American-born citizens [sic] are in the minority now. Here’s a league for white players to play fundamental basketball, which they like.”

Lewis told the paper he defines “fundamental basketball” as different from the “street-ball” played by “people of color,” and claimed recent scandals in professional basketball — such as the gun charges dogging the Wizards‘ Gilbert Arenas — have made the creation of all-white teams a necessity.

“Would you want to go to the game and worry about a player flipping you off or attacking you in the stands or grabbing their crotch?” he told the paper. “That’s the culture today, and in a free country we should have the right to move ourselves in a better direction.”

The proposal was swiftly condemned by the mayor of Augusta, one of the 12 Southeastern cities the league is eyeing.

“I could not support in good conscience bringing in a team that did not fit with the spirit of inclusiveness that I, along with many others, have worked so hard to foster in our city,” Deke Copenhaver told the Augusta Chronicle.
